substituting plastic

Does it make sense that we throw our trash into a plastic trash bag? Looking for an alternative? Try BioBags! They're made out of GMO free corn. They are 100% biodegradable/compostable! They are slightly (ok, a lot more lol) than trash bags but if you factor in the externalized cost of regular plastic bags then the BioBags are way cheaper! And if more people were to switch to BioBags they would eventually go down in price! Let me know your thoughts!

  1. If people are against getting rid of plastic grocery bags, then don't the manufactures start making them out of corn?! Yes, it would cost the stores a lot more, but then perhaps they could charge customers for the bags and then perhaps that would make the costumers think twice before using them.

  2. I've been using the biodegradable garbage bags for about a year now and they work very well. So far, the cheapest I've been able to find them is at CVS (their own brand). Also, check out CVS's brand of eco-friendly paper towels & toilet paper! It's pretty reasonably priced.
